A well-meaning life is gone
A life profoundly spent in kindness and generosity
Unassuming, progressive and enriching
Lies sordid cold until that awful day.
A seething mind so memorable in tradition
A reservoir of qualities anchored and wholesomely girded
Never afraid to speak his mind and tell it as it is
For as the saying goes,"The truth will set you free."
A patriot of indomitable poise and splendor
Of hard core values, conscience and convictions
Politics, government positions, and materialism could not buy him over
That's a life worthy of emulation and adulation
Farewell, your memory animates many in the land
May your name sake, Arch Angel Gabriel
Lead you and the choir of Angels and Saints
Through the Pearly Gates to Eternity. Amen.
